The kingdom of this world
Is become the kingdom of our Lord,
And of His Christ, and of His Christ;
And He shall reign for ever and ever,
For ever and ever, forever and ever,
King of kings, and Lord of lords,
|: King of kings, and Lord of lords, :|
And Lord of lords,
And He shall reign,
And He shall reign forever and ever,
King of kings, forever and ever,
And Lord of lords,
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
And He shall reign forever and ever,

And He shall reign forever and ever,
King of kings! and Lord of lords!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Many choirs sing the Messiah including the Hallelujah Chorus all over the world.
People have also arranged it into their own style eg Mervyn Warren, who was a member of the all male sextet Take 6, arranged and produced an updated gospel version. It is performed by a choir of all-star gospel, contemporary Christian, Rhythm and Blues and jazz singers, along with several actors and conducted by Quincy Jones.
Personal Review:
This version of the Hallelujah Chorus conducted by Quincy Jones is a great improvement to the original Hallelujah Chorus because of its gospal singing and upbeat rhythem. I prefer this version more than the original because of the rhythmic difference and the change of instruments eg. Piano, Trumpet, Drum Kit.
What Someone Else Thought of this version
"The best masterpiece, however is the Hallelujah Chorus. It must be played loud, in the house, in the car, in the office, or anywhere else. It is the most inspiring music I have ever heard. Somewhere, Handel is smiling and marvelling at what has come from the wonder which he penned two centuries ago.
Everyone should own this disc!"
